Taekwondo star Valerie Loureda returns to the Bellator cage after a stint on the small screen.
Loureda, 21, has verbally agreed to face Tara Gaff at Bellator 238, which takes place Jan. 25 at The Forum in Inglewood, Calif., a person with knowledge of the booking told MMA Fighting following a report from MMA Junkie.
Loureda’s return comes four months after an appearance on the Spanish-language reality show “Exatlon,” which features athletes of varying backgrounds competing against each other. UFC vets Jorge Masvidal and Yoel Romero, who are teammates with Loureda at American Top Team, also appeared on the show.
So far, Loureda is 2-0 in the Bellator cage after making her professional debut this past February. Gaff is 1-1 as a professional and most recently suffered a TKO loss in November 2018 on the regional circuit.
Bellator 238 streams live on DAZN and features a women’s featherweight title bout between champ Julia Budd and ex-UFC champ Cris Cyborg.
