Olivier Aubin-Mercier and Arman Tsarukyan at UFC 240 in Edmonton, Alberta, on Saturday | Esther Lin, MMA Fighting
“The Canadian Gangster” is facing an uncertain future.
Olivier Aubin-Mercier suffered a third straight loss at UFC 240 this past weekend in Edmonton, Alberta, dropping a unanimous decision to Armenian prospect Arman Tsarukyan. The skid follows a four-fight win streak that had “OAM” looking like a potential contender at 155 pounds.
On Monday, Aubin-Mercier (11-5) issued a statement on social media in which he expressed his disappointment over his recent results and his plans to move forward with his career.

Won’t lie, im hearthbroken. 3 consecutive L is not great, when you try to be the best in the world. I was more than ready and was better than ever, @arm_011 was simply the better man. I dont know what’s going to happen next. The only thing I know is that i’m not done. I will be back. I still think i’m getting better everyday, I’m healthy and I still have the passion to fight. I love my life and I’m proud of what I accomplished so far, this is just a pretty big bump in my career. I would like to thank my coaches @firas_zahabi @h2omma @levis.dlabrie @ryanortizo_onelegwonder @myologik_performance @georgesstpierre And I would like to thank you guys for the support. I love you all. Ciao. Ciao. #
