Olivier Aubin-Mercier vs. Leonardo Santos scrapped from UFC 212 in Rio de Janeiro

UFC 212 will go on with one less bout.

A lightweight contest between Olivier Aubin-Mercier and Leonardo Santos has been removed from the UFC 212 card. The news was reported by the UFC on Thursday night.

Aubin-Mercier was forced off the event due to injury. The 28-year-old Canadian fighter, who’s 5-2 in the UFC, was looking to build off his current two-fight win streak. Meanwhile, Santos, who also withdrew from the card, was looking to stay undefeated in the UFC and extend his win streak to five in a row.

UFC 212 is set to take place on June 3 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The event will be headlined by a featherweight title unification bout between Jose Aldo and Max Holloway.
