How to Tie a Taekwondo Belt | Taekwondo Training for Beginners — 22 Comments

  1. This wouldnt be accepted where i train..
I basicly tie my belt the second way, but im not going one side over and one side under from the back.. both sides should be over, so that you have a visible cross on your back.. which have a meaning, like everything else in taekwondo.

  2. I don’t really remember how I tied mine. I just remember being at my first dojo and the daughter or girlfriend or what ever took me to the restroom and did it for me. Hey, wait a minute?!

  3. Yeah…which goes back to the point of clueless videos. Why they haven’t made any similar video when “teaching” jiu jitsu then ? Are there any gaps to be filled in order to film this video ? Are they gonna teach taekwondo thru internet ?

This is the critic…but I don’t want to extend this clueless debate no longer, this is only my view and it won’t change. And I don’t want to teach anybody to be critic or to think like me.
U take care, mr. game videos :-)

  4. It’s just routine – they have to have instructions for it. This is the 1st (and currently only) video they have in the Taekwondo playlist, which is still work in progress.

  5. Hi !
I didn’t mean to be rude, dude…I am actually a black belt on and ancient okinawa karate style from master Matsumura.
My point was that to tie a belt is something so simple and natural for anyone who start any martial art that it does not require at all a video to clarify it…and that it lloks more like those low IQ dudes who make videos for every simgle thing, like “how to tie shoes” or “how to breath” for instance.
Sorry if I offended anyone :-/ Big hug !!

  6. The first way is the proper way, that’s what I have been doing for 9 years now. If you don’t believe me, check out my channel
