You see Landy roasting the tires in the staging lanes @ 3:09…not to be the safety man but that crap doesn’t fly today.
Vehicles now are faster
still goden days
Don’t mess with a Mopar unless you want to lose.
In the middle 60′s I was basically living @ SoCal dragstrips; Lions, Irwindale, OCIR, Fontana, Pomona (for the Big Go West), Bakersfield (for the Smokers’ Meet) AND I was at Ontario for the Nov 70 “Supernationals.” I watched Landy, durring that era, when he drove his ’65 Dodge A/FX in “run what ya brung” match racing. The commonality of A/FX cars included an altered wheelbase, Hilborne mechanical fuel injection and Art Carr torqueflites. Landy and his cigar ~ great memories of a great era!
Mopar!!
I would have killed my brother if he did that…thank god i dont have one
