Ferrari 458 Italia vs Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, Nissan GT-R and Audi RS6 — 25 Comments

  1. How can imports suck? The rest of the world drives European and Japanese cars because they are clearly better. The amount of times I’ve been to the states and not once have I ever got into an American car and been impressed with its interior or the way it drives. That is why american cars fail to sell everywhere apart from in America! The CTS-V is decent but thats about it.

  2. Now which car is better as a grand tourer. I’m guessing your not seb vettel so be quiet, don’t buy a zr1 or even the 458. Get a nice Audi

  3. i wouldent say traditional but its a pretty nice car its runs a 4.5 L (270 cu in) V8 engine

  4. it is amazing how can Ferrari keep it up, with no supercharges,.. with just plain traditional engine,.. i hope they wont go as low as other companies,… keep it up!

  5. I love the vette, but the 458 is drop dead gorgeous. Sure its a bit out of my price range…so i guess ill keep the vette. The GT-R is an amazing performer but its sofa king ugly. Sorry….but pictures and videos do not do it justice at all….its much uglier in person.

  6. That is because the GT-R has a very advanced launch control system. Others rely more on human intervention. In order to beat the GT-R off the line consistently you’ll need to ramp up the price about 50% and get the Porsche Turbo S.

  7. Some people feel the need to try to impress others, be it by wearing a $500,000 watch, $2,000 sunglasses, $5,000 shoes, tattooing their face, or dying their hair green.
Others are content with themselves, gain gratification by their own accomplishments, and want value for the money they earn.

The fact remains that if half the population had 458’s and the other half had ZR1’s, you still only see ZR1’s being driven because the 458’s live their life in climate-controlled garages.

  8. The GT-R is a wonderful machine. It has amazing performance that, like the Corvette, is far, far greater than one would expect for the price.
Bang for the bucks, it comes down to personal preferance. I just like traditional rear-wheel drive and manual transmissions.
I has considered buying one on more than one occasion.

  9. Nissan comapny payed those guys. on every video the GTR jumps first by some Tenth of a seconds, and i am not talking about the 4 weal drive, i am talking about human Intervention.

  10. Why did you ignore the GTR?
It is cheaper than all previously stated cars and faster around the Top Gear U.K. track (Corvette and LFA did have a damp lap).

It costs about 10k less than the ZR1, weighs more, makes a lot less power from a smaller engine yet still has a faster 0-60 and ties the ZR1 in a quarter mile drag.

  11. So it gives you that warm and fuzzy feeling that you will spend three times as much for comparable performance to a Corvette and you still don’t get a powerful engine?
    Well OK then.
For the money, NOTHING out of Europe out-performs the Corvette as a daily driver, grocery getter, and track car.
    NOTHING!

  12. any car with the same horsepower as the corvette no matter how much will loose to it everytime

  13. Here is another DragTimes video on YouTube of the 458 getting its ass handed to it.

And the car costs half of what the 458 sells for, as usual.
