SL Night Edition/SLK Grand Edition

Mercedes-Benz has introduced two new special edition versions of the SL-Class and the SLK-Class. Known as the SL Night Edition and the SLK Grand Edition, both models feature stylish interior and exterior upgrades.

The Mercedes-Benz SL Night Edition gets a designo magno night black matte paint finish with 19-inch two-tone 5-spoke light-alloy wheels, silver-painted front brake calipers with the Mercedes-Benz logo, smoked out headlamps and tail lamps and a badge on the front that identifies the Night Edition. Inside, the SL Night Edition gets black nappa leather, shining chrome trim, a black sports steering wheel, shift lever and roof lining and a high-gloss finish on the silver-colored AIRSCARF vents.

The SLK Grand Edition gets much of the same interior touches but is finished in designo graphite paint on the outside. Other exterior modifications include 18-inch light alloy 5-spoke wheels, a third brake light and headlamps that match the paint finish.

DJ CHAOS and Pandorum Rock the House

January 12, 2010 · Filed Under Celebrity, Entertainment, Music News · Comment

I had a great time performing live with Pandorum Sunday night in Palatine, Illinois with my friends Frank Lucas, Barry Kleiber and Hannah Ford. After my DJ set I went on to VJ (Video Jockey/mixing) with Pandorum. It was a great show regardless of the minor technical difficulties we had with the sound guy. (Someone stole all the clubs audio cables the night before – you call that minor?) Oops! Help, security!

Thanks to everyone who made it out!  Hope to see you all at the next show. Watch for future shows dates and more DJ CHAOS info that will be posted on DJCHAOS.com BTW I’m currently working on some new original tracks and mixes and hope to have something for you later in the year. Peace, DJ CHAOS

Jennifer Lopez’s New Year’s Catsuit Continues A Problematic Tradition

Jennifer Lopez

Here’s the thing about a catsuit: It’s kind of like a beret, or pink asymmetrical haircuts — either you totally rock it, or you look like a complete tool.

Over New Year’s, Jennifer Lopez officially leaped into the top five of the Catsuit Hall of Fail with a nearly-naked full-body stocking that looked like something out of David Bowie’s closet circa 1972. The skintight affair left little to the imagination of the audience watching “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve,” and in the days since it has become a Web obsession/punchline (though host Ryan Seacrest admitted the bedazzled unitard “made my year”).

But Lopez, who famously damn near bore it all at the Grammys in 2000 with a barely-there Versace dress, is certainly not the only celeb to make a wrong turn in a catsuit. Who can forget the red PVC number modeled by a then-18-year-old Britney Spears in the 1999 “Oops! … I Did It Again” video that was so nice they made it into an adorable 12-inch doll?

Michelle Pfeiffer fared a bit better with her stapled-together black PVC Catwoman number in “Batman Returns,” though Halle Berry upped the sex appeal considerably when she stepped into the role in just a black leather bra and shredded leather pants.

Fittingly, Marilyn Manson made the whole concept of a catsuit just plain creepy in 1998 when he slipped into a ghostly white androgynous alien full body stocking for the cover of his Mechanical Animals album, but Kanye West’s girlfriend managed to be both sexy and a bit scary in a snakeskin-print number at last year’s MTV Video Music Awards. (She’s a repeat offender, by the way.)

So, don’t feel bad J. Lo. You’re not alone. But maybe next time you should ring in the new year in a sensible pair of slacks?
