‘He just threw a glass bottle at me,’ Jaclyn Nesheiwat said in hysterical call

The wife of former Creed frontman Scott Stapp pleaded for authorities to come to the couple’s home over the weekend, according to a 911 tape released Tuesday.

“He just threw a glass bottle at me,” Jaclyn Nesheiwat said in a hysterical call Sunday. “He just came home, he’s wasted … he’s been out partying all night.”

She told the dispatcher Stapp was “on drugs and pot. There’s a lot of pot in the house.”
Nesheiwat also said Stapp had guns in the home. Asked how many, she said: “I don’t know, a lot … I don’t know, five or 10.”

No one was injured.

Stapp was arrested Sunday and initially charged with aggravated assault with intent to commit a felony. The charge was reduced to a misdemeanor Monday.

Before police arrived, Nesheiwat called 911 again.

“He’s hiding all the drugs,” she said. “He’s still under the influence right now.”

It’s not the unforgettable fire that’s got Bono worried. It’s the smoke.

Taking time out from saving the world, the U2 frontman has launched a new campaign literally more close to home—i.e., to rid his Manhattan penthouse from the unwelcome, potentially toxic plumes wafting in from neighbors’ fireplaces.

Bono, whose real name is Paul Hewson, owns a spacious duplex at the San Remo, the landmark 1930-era apartment building whose twin towers rise high above Central Park West and the New York residence of such stars as Steven Spielberg and Steve Martin.

The Don Imus effect took down more shock jocks yesterday after an Asian-mocking joke left CBS radio execs with another hole in their schedule.

CBS confirmed “The Dog House with JV and Elvis” show was canned permanently after an on-air prank call three weeks ago ordered “slimp flied lice” from a Chinese restaurant.

The show’s on-air hosts, Jeff Vandergrift and Dan Lay, were suspended as CBS decided their future.

” ‘The Dog House with JV and Elvis’ will no longer be broadcast,” said CBS Radio spokeswoman Karen Mateo.

“In the wake of the Imus case, it would have been maddening to the community if these idiots did not get fired,” said Queens City Councilman John Liu.
